Now that I've figured out that getting pictures from my digital camera onto a CD only involves a trip to Wal*Mart, an hour of my time, and $3, it has become a more regular event. I was running around taking pictures of anything and everything that was picture taking worthy this afternoon so that I could justify that trip to Wal*Mart, hour of my time and $3. What this means to you is more updates! Unfortunately, the lighting isn't great this time, or perhaps the issue is contrast, but it's definitely enough to get the idea

It was a very very good thing to have the weekend off. I'm feeling slightly more human today that I was on Friday night, and the only reason it's not 100% more human than I was on Friday is because my sinuses have decided to rebel. Some good things and some not so good things happened this weekend... in review:

Good: Somebody decided that they felt it was worthwhile to pay over $9.00 for one of the lots of yarn I decided to sell on ebay - much more than I expected, I was definitely going for the "so long as it gets out of my house, anything else is gravy" point of view in regards to how much the yarn sells for.

Not so Good: The battery in my car has been protesting starting in the mornings... it begrudgingly kicks in with encouragement, but this is definitely not a good thing.

Good: The sell the yarn kick has resulted in new organization in the crafty section of the extra bedroom - more organization equals less mess - always good!

Not so Good: The kitchen has not benefited from any sort of "less mess" phenomenon.

Good: I made a shepherd's pie for dinner last night, it's real food!

Not so Good: The DVD player decided to kick the big one.

Good: I randomly found $23 in the pocket of one of last year's coats!

Not so Good: I discovered a crack in the tread of one of my tires.

Good: Wal*Mart actually carries tires that will fit my car! (They're a rather weird size) and will even put them on and give me a "Lifetime Protection Plan" for roughly $55 a tire. AND... I can also get a middle of the road battery for about $40, and they'll install it for free!

So... there were some significant periods of stress (most notably while trying to figure out how in the world I was going to pay the bills and get the car fixed since it seems determined to fall apart on me), but by now, things have kind of settled down. Still in some levels of flux - which is probably obvious by the fact that I've changed my journal layout AGAIN (how many times is that in the last month?) and probably will be mucking around with my default icon as well - just not satisfied right now.
