Now that I've figured out that getting pictures from my digital camera onto a CD only involves a trip to Wal*Mart, an hour of my time, and $3, it has become a more regular event. I was running around taking pictures of anything and everything that was picture taking worthy this afternoon so that I could justify that trip to Wal*Mart, hour of my time and $3. What this means to you is more updates! Unfortunately, the lighting isn't great this time, or perhaps the issue is contrast, but it's definitely enough to get the idea
First we have "the baby blanket from hell." No, really, I'm serious. This thing is tedious and involves more counting than I think I ever did in grade school. Eventually, it will be an arc on a water background with animals crocheted onto the long green side strips, a rainbow at the top, mr & mrs noah on the bottom and stars in the 4 corner squares. If it get it done before the kid turns 5 I'll be lucky. The pattern is from a Leisure Arts Book, which is hiding around here somewhere.
This next WIP is the flamenco wrap (pattern here) worked in lace weight cotton yarn and an "E" hook. Generously sized so that I could tie it around my waist if so inclined.
And this is the detail of one of the ends
This is the beginning of the hooded baby blanket made from the pattern on the Lion Brand Pound O' Love wrapper, also found... here
This is actually my second "Beth's Little Star Afghan" - just the first one I've remembered to take pictures of!
Now onto the FOs!
First is a scarf I actually crocheted last year - it's 1 strand of homespun and 1 strand of caron simply soft worked together, all double crochet. I made it extra long so that when I did the border, I folded up the ends to add pockets to the ends of my scarf! It's soft and wonderful, and I'm especially happy with these colors.

And finally, a baby blanket that I made forever ago while I was fiddling with a pattern I became addicted to. I'm pretty sure it originally came from a Leisure Arts booklet, but I can't be certain because I've pretty much memorized the pattern and haven't looked at the booklet - possibly in years!

and a detail shot...

Just a brief mention... the reason I was hell-bent on getting the pictures on CD today was because I'm putting some of my yarn up for sale on ebay - I'm planning on moving and have to pare down the stash. If anyone is interested, the first round of auctions can be found here.
