Ok, it's been several days since a "real" post, but it's justified. I've been busy as hell. I mentioned before that I put my resume out to a couple of jobs, just to get some feelers out there. My phone has been ringing non-stop! Recruiters seem to have just "found" my resume and are calling with job opportunities! Wow! Anyway, I've got several phone calls to make, and few kind of "informal phone interviews" to do next week. Perferably on Monday.
Busy item #2. After getting notice on Tuesday that I was approved to attend a 4 day conference that started on Wednesday, I scrambled around and made sure I had all my bases covered, people notified that I wouldn't be in, whatever. I've got a zillion-and-one make up sessions planned for next week (so when I'm going to make those phone calls I have no idea). The conference was REALLY good. I learned lots of stuff about working with kids with neuromotor involvement and learned more than I'll likely ever need to know about feeding and swallowing for babies with neuromotor involvement. It's going to literally take a week to get through the paperwork and figure out everything I learned. 4 days of lecture for 6 hours a day kicks your butt when you're not in "school mode" anymore. I'm soooo sleepy.
Now: my apartment needs to be cleaned, dishes and laundry done, but first, I'm taking a nap.
