The wedding was beautiful last night. Jena and Mauricio looked very happy, and I seriously can not think of any way in which the ceremony could have been improved upon. It was touching and meaningful, and you could feel the Lord's presence and approval throughout. It even got me to rethink my future "wedding at camp" plan. ;o)

The reception was also quite nice, I guess what one would call a standard reception. Aside from the fact that I had to get industrious and hunt up a bottle of champagne for our table (by filching it from another) for the toasts, I had no major complaints. (However, I have obviously spent too much time catering because I can think of many ways it could be improved upon - from a food service standpoint.)

As anticipated, I was seated at the "single females" table - with a whole bunch of people I didn't know and two people I really only knew enough to say "hello" to, and halfway across the room was the inevitable "single males" table - where I knew more people, and everyone else I knew was paired off at other tables. More than one observations were made by various table mates including "It's actually kind of rude, attend wedding, "you're single"; get to reception, "you're still single."" Then there was the discussion of how if wedding are supposed to be all romantic, wouldn't it make more sense to mix the single guys and girls up and try to set things up- which was actually mentioned to Jena, who said something to the effect that she'd have done it that way, but her mom was the one who did the seating arrangements. Ah well, we had fun anyway, and as soon as the meal was officially over, I joined the fun at one of the couples table with Althea and Anthony and Isaac, and Ian and Meghan (most of the couples suspiciously disappeared).

Anyway, enough wedding comments except to say that, I had LOTS of compliments on my dress and general appearance. Yay!

Church this morning, not so much with the fun. My back hurt, which made it very difficulty to pay attention. (That's what I get for wearing heels and dancing.)

Came home and took a nap and once again demonstrated that I can not do a less than a hour and a half nap, I just am too groggy if I try to wake up before then and begin the ritual smacking of the "snooze" button until the hour and a half has passed.

Current plan (get as much done as humanly possible):
Get rid of some boxes from the extra room
Take out the trash
Straighten up the living room
Do the dishes
Clean the kitchen
Put away laundry
Organize spare room
Straighten up bedrom

And, I worked on putting together more "slap it together furniture" - a filing cabinet - would have had it done by I somehow broke my manual screw driver and ran out of charge on the electric one. So it'll be done tomorrow.
