How is it that I seem to land in small churches that at one point or another end up making a statement something to the effect of "if we don't make some changes now, in X number of months we'll be out of money" or "if we don't find a new place to meet, in X number of months we won't have any place to meet"

Not that either of these things are a problem, just noticing a trend.
