the apartment

Ok, so I finally signed the lease, paid the money, got the keys.... now for the work. First things first will be to air the place out and to try to get the smoke smell out. It's not bad, certainly not overpowering, but I'd like it to be clearer if possible. I'm planning on heading over there tomorrow morning with a bottle of Febreeze, and again after work. We'll see about getting another load of boxes over there, it'll ultimately depend on how much paperwork I have to do tomorrow night. I'd like to make a run a night, but we'll see.

I did discover a small "problem".

The big bedroom, and the living room have giant fluorescent lights in them. For starters, I can only imagine how much they cost, but secondly, it's just too bright. So.... I'm going to focus on lamps, lots of them. And unscrew some of the bulbs in the overhead lights to dim things a bit. And come hell or high water, I'm going to figure out how to make sure that the little bedroom is the actual bedroom, and the big one is the "office". Cause I know that those things will just wreck my sleep patterns.
