Tired Emily...
Sep. 7th, 2005 09:43 pmI'm coordinating food for after a memorial service on Sunday. My word is this a lot of work. And so much time on the phone. I've definitely decided that I am not cut out for a career as a telemarketer, I hate calling people I don't know well. :::shudder:::
Anyway, for posterity's sake, the menu is as follows:
~Baked Ziti
~Green Beans and Sausage
~Deli Sandwiches
~Potato Salad
~Fresh Fruit
~Veggies & Dip
~Green Salad
~Beverages
~Desserts (varied)
We're actually doing quite well towards organizing all of this together. The biggest obstacle at this point is acquiring the ingredients for a mass amount of baked ziti (which I get to make on Sunday). The current plan is that while we're having a clean-up day at church on Saturday I'll be making preparations for/dealing with the potato salad. Then Sunday after church I'll make the green beans & ziti. I think this means a long weekend at LCC for me.
I volunteer to do this to myself why? As if it weren't enough that I'm walking for the American Heart Association on Saturday morning? Damn spirit of community service that my parents insisted on.
