Lesson to be learned...
Jul. 5th, 2005 12:54 amIf one has a latex allergy, one really should keep around non-latex gloves and paper tape at all times, as the absolute bare essentials. A couple latex-free band-aids probably wouldn't be a bad idea either.
Context: I sliced my foot open on a piece of glass at Trevor's today, and definitely didn't have anything with me first aid kit wise, and he only had 3 latex band-aids. Hence I spent the rest of the evening holding a piece of paper towel to my bleeding foot. No fun. Now I'm home and I've jerry-rigged a compression dressing that will even prevent me from bleeding on my ivory bedspread. But yeah, gloves and tape to go in the car tomorrow morning, and to stay there.
