Dec. 23rd, 2004 09:59 pmI was called "the New Yorker" or some variation upon, several times today. Actually, probably more times than I could recall. Definitely more that I'd ever heard here before. And why do you ask? Not because my Rochester accent was particularly thick (although it was), not because I was talking too fast for everyone to understand me (I was doing that too), but because I happen to have an SUV with 4 wheel drive, snow tires, wore appropriate "going out in unplowed roads" attire, can drive in snow and got to work on time. I have a feeling that I'm always going to be "the New Yorker," and I don't think I have a problem with that.
And in other news, Shallyn went to the hospital tonight, perhaps there will be another baby soon!
