I went to girlie bible study (or GBS as I've decided to call it) and I'm excited. For starters - the only person there I really know is Jenni (from work) and yet I was still very comfortable - I'm considering it a good sign. We've decided which study we're going to do - and picked Every Woman's Battle by Shannon Ethridge. I think it'll be a good thing for me, because my ideas about sex and intimacy and God's plan and future relationships are all wonky and rather need to be set straight in some fashion that puts me in a place where I'm ready for a good, solid, healthy relationship rather than a "don't do that because it's not good for you / because I said so / because it's against the "rules" / because goodChristians don't do that" or some other such nonsense that I haven't worked out for myself. (I'm too much of a non-conformist to actually follow those pieces of advice - sometimes I do things just because somebody said I shouldn't!) Anyway, there we are, I'm excited, and hoping for good good things.
