Ok, yesterdays emotional, dislocate-y melodrama has subsided after running it's usual course of:
* stuff everything that bothers you until you explode
* cry for hours
* spend hours on the phone with Ian as he tries to cheer you up
* have a few long distance drinks
* and then spend the last half hour stupidly trying to convince him not to worry about you (logic? I apparently don't have any)
* and conclude with not getting enough sleep but still having to get up in the morning.
So today... I'm rational, tired, my tummy is upset (I made some stupid decisions last night), and generally nothing is actually better, but at least I'm not hysterical, so that has to be major bonus points, right?
