Mar. 15th, 2004 10:32 pmOk, been a few days since I last posted, which means tons has happened in a very short period of time. I'm tired (big surprise) so here's the short and sweet version.
Saturday: Got up, long talk with Liz to prepare for Girl's Night, drive home to my parents' house to head up to Henrietta to have dinner with the family, dinner with the family (kicked ass, I got a pig for my birthday :-D), drive back to Ithaca by 9:30pm to wait for the girls to arrive. Girls night, lots of girls night, finally got to bed around 4:30am Sunday morning.
Sunday: 8:30am, the evil sunshine poked through the window blinds and woke me up - ug. I managed to stay in bed until Ben gave me a wake-up call just after 9:00am. Woke up Holly, we threw on clothes and headed to church to set up the sound equipment. Lesson to be learned, do not attempt to set up and run a sound board on 4- hours of sleep. Bad things happen. You get short tempered. You get feedback that you can't find the origin of. Lunch after church with the students - dining hall food, but I didn't have to pay for it or make it, so major bonus points. Back to the Chen House to debrief the CTown leadership team (discovery - it is IMPOSSIBLE to debrief intelligently over a game of Fluxx). Dinner out, Thai, it was nice, so was the movie afterwards.
Monday: Ok, so sitting on a couch is apparently something my body is not yet ready for. Stupid back/pelvis/sacrum. Saw the kids, went home, talked to my supervisor, took a nap. Woke up almost 3 hours later, found dinner, wrote up an evaluation, tore out at least 12 rows of my most recent crochet project (dammit!), replaced them and generally did a whole lot of nothing. Oh yeah, and discovered that FTP servers continue to hate me. Or maybe I hate them. Whatever. Bed soon.
I know that wasn't all that insightful, but it's the best I've got. One of these days there will be something a wee bit better.
