Ugh...
Overwhelmed. Yuck. Seriously.
I'm trying to keep up with my job (not so much fun at the moment), deal with two neurotic dogs, keep the house reasonably in check while house sitting for Mom and Dad, check in on Grandma in the nursing home, apartment hunt, keep a long distance relationship healthy, and all on about 5 hours of sleep a night. Oh yeah... and spend some time with my sister, brother-in-law and niece. I can't figure out how to check the voicemail on the stupid digital system that was installed 2 days before my parents went out of town on vacation. I haven't actually eaten dinner since Sunday (ok, I know it's only Tuesday, but that's a shitty habit to be in). Every flipping one of my patients is demanding adjustments that I can only describe as "conditions of participation". My cell phone battery died. My computer battery died. I was nearly out of gas and pulled into a gas station only to be told, "there's no gas hon". I looked at an apartment that maybe could have some potential except for the fact that there was one weird big heat register in the kitchen that was supposed to heat the entire apartment and that I was so thoroughly disgusted by the discriminatory rental practices they were using that I just had to say "no". (For the record, their "security deposit" was inversely proportional to your credit score... good credit, low deposit, bad credit high deposit. I've had places increase your deposit if you've ever had an eviction, and frankly that makes sense to me... this just smacks of kicking people when they're down though, and that's not ok.)
